This crust monster hails from
Minneapolis and rural Minnesota, and boasts ex-members of DRESDEN, DESPITE,
STILLBORN, and TWO MINUTE TANTRUM, just to name a few. They play heavy pummeling
crust ala older DOOM filtered through a Japanese crust band. The sound is raw,
but not so much that you canﾒt distinguish the various parts; you can clearly
hear the driving bass riffs through the wall of heavily distorted guitar. The
vocals are guttural and haunting, with so much reverb that they appear to be screamed
at you from the bottom of a deep, dark pit.

Wait is over: this long overdue discography album finally see's the light of
day. A//Political was very active during the mid to late 90s. Their style is
similar to that of many "peace punk" bands from the early 1980s and
was heavily influenced by anarcho-punk bands like Crass and Conflict. Members
were involved in the Crasshole Collective and the Anarcho-Punk Federation
(A.P.F.). Many members were in other local punk bands such as Coexist, Flag
Fallen and U.S. War Commission. Stas (Vocals) also sang for Boston area

Scarborough, UK and play excellent anarcho punk, similar to CONFLICT and other
early uk anarcho punk bands. They sing heavily about animal rights and
anarchist related issues, having been around for quite some time now it is no
suprise that they have continued releasing new music through the years. This is
the re-press of their classic first LP originally released in 1988. Really briliant, great guitar work and
vocals,even some piano bits towards the end of album.

| Dekadent
from Giengen was one of the most active German Anarcho/Crust/Punk Bands in
the 90s. Existing from 1988 to 2000 the band released two albums, two singles
and was part of several compilations. Dekadent were different from the rest
of the classic Crust/AnarchoPunk, not least due to the voice of singer Tanja.
Listening to it you might think of UK inspired sound, which gets his really
own note through the female vocals. The Lyrics are in German: highpolitical,
direct and without compromises. Dekadent was always DIY, all recordings were
done in their own practiceroom with a 8-trackmachine, to that effect the
sound is rough and original. Some of the records were released by the band`s
own label, some on Civilisation Records, all originals are sold out for
years. "Almost complete dekadent" has 35 songs, the complete
"Brot für die Welt..."LP, the "Wacht endlich auf" EP, split
EP with Peruutus from Finland, songs from "Civilisation Backwards"
compilation and 10 songs from their self titled debu cd. The record comes as
a doublelp with 80 minutes total time including a 16-pages XL booklet

LA ESCENA (Disco

La Escena is a documentary of the
history of the Puerto Rican punk scene released in 2007.The story of “la escena,” which is what they refer to
punk as in P.R., is told through various people from different facets who have
been around for a while. The film starts off with the first wave talking about
the beginnings, what it means, why they did it, sharing experiences, and why
they are still around. Then they go into things like the C.P.P.R., which is a
large contingent of skinheads who have national pride, but claim to not be
fascist or racist. The news footage of them walking through town and the
bewildered reporters is a good laugh. Then there are the effects of rock en
Español, and how it affected the punk scene. As expected, no one seems thrilled
with it and felt it drained a bit of the energy from “la escena” itself. The
first wave eventually disintegrates from the usual apathy, drugs, and alcohol.
Then they bring in some of the young, like Jose, who have learned from the
mistakes of the past and intend to build something stronger. So it ends on a
hopeful note. Only time will tell. The quality is great, and they keep the pace
moving, never belaboring one point. So instead of renting some turd like American
Hardcore, why not get this instead? Very professionally done.
